fill in the blank friday

It's late, I know..but I just had to take part....

1. If I could medal in an olympic event it would be in snowboarding. Someday soon I'd really love to learn and then impress sexy beast Shaun White of my mad skills. :P

2. If I was stranded on a deserted island I'd take my fellow lady-bloggers. Because they rock my socks and I know they'd be amazing company.

3. any sort of bug are my most irrational fear.

4. I'd rather be working at a bookstore everyday, than working on a farm everyday.

5. I am really enjoying the Olymics! Again, someone break me off a slice of that Flying Tomato!

6. I should really be sleeping.

7. One of my favorite things in all the world is laughter. Someone needs to bottle some up for me because I miss it terribly.

Sorry to end on a sad note! But I do miss true, good laughter, :/. Hope everyone had a lovely Friday! Come back soon for some big news and big changes!

Much Love,

ahh-choooo!

^Photo found while Google image searching 'postman'. Ain't he just adorable?

Isn't being sick just wonderful? Oh my goodness, I adore it; the stuffy-nose, constant coughing, messed-up depth perception...

Yeahhhhh right.

I don't get sick very often so when I do, it's really bad. Been unfotunate for me because I've been wanting to see a couple films, but luckily has made me catch up on some email, packing and get to work on some fun mail art...

Made some more Alex Beard and Paris envelopes which I think are some of my best yet of handmade envelopes:

All addressed and awaiting their letter insides:

Decided to lay this one aside for my next reply to Bee.

These made out of magazine ads go to Megan and Kerri...
And for those of you who haven't seen a letter up here for you, sorry! Some of them are pretty old and some of you have already received them so I feel no need to post about them.
Hope everyone had a good long weekend here in the states and got through another no-mail Monday! (Being sick and there's not much to do, I was yet again very annoyed, but onto tomorrow and the hopes of my mailbox being uber full!) I'm off to watch some more Olympics and write a few more replies. Keep warm and toasty everyone!
Lots of postal love,
- L
PS: I'm kind of anti-Valentines day because I think we should tell one another how we feel any other day of the year; but Happy be-lated V-day to those who celebrate!

LEGO mail

My little brother and sister love LEGOs, even at 13 and 10 now. They've gotten more into building and collecting them since we moved to Florida and LEGO-land in Orlando is only a few hours away.

Well, my sister got a kit where you can build up to three different homes and it included the cutest little red mailbox and piece of mail! When she built a house, it stood out front just like a regular box and recently she made a condo-like structure where the box resides on the first floor. Too freakin' adorable if you ask me.

Then my brother ordered a mix of LEGO parts off their website and it included a little old-fashioned looking letter! I was literally 'awwwww'-ing, let me tell ya...

(ignore the visable dog hair. :/ )

wam bam, thank you ma'am

Thanks to everyone who's sent me mail so far this week! Sending lots of love your way for all the loveliness in my mailbox recently. :D

All following mail is from last Friday until today; starting with the most recent:

This little postcard came today from a reader and I was so infatuated with the fact that they had their own legal postage cancel! Very, very cool indeed.

One of Ilona's great handmade envelopes containing some fantastic vintage postage. (We swap vintage stamps with each reply we send one another :] ) I love all the little envelopes she makes from the childrens book w/ photos of sheep and lambs, so freakin' adorable!

A really wonderful letter from Megan; I'm so glad that she finally got my letter. Australian customs apparently doesn't care for American tea, they confiscated and destroyed the ones I sent her. But would you look at the hand cancel on that stamp?! It's humoungus! lovelovelove.

Reply letter from Miss Ilona with some great vintage postage on it. I forgot to take a photo of the inside flap of the envelope, it's FILLED with delicious Edward Gorey illustrations; I about died.

Miss Sheba from Perpetual Bounce sent me a cute little postcard all bright and fun. One of my favorite missives from last week.

One of my best friends Kaylyn sent me a little note from college and even though she doesn't always decorate elaborately, you can count on her to always add in a quote somewhere on the envelope, :D.

Miss Zoraida writes long letters, which I adore. Maybe after we've written to each other a bit longer I can get her to try out some mail art, ;P.

As we speak, I'm working on a couple more blogs from all the photos I just edited and went through. I started with 111 photos and in the end I narrowed it down to about half, an even 50 without even knowing it, haha.
More postal love in a bit!
You guys rock, thanks so much for all the love on my last little post!

PS: I really like this layout because it's so tidy and organized, don't you? :]
